Robot vacuum’s have been hitting the market for years and helping households keep up with cleaning standards. iRobot is on a roll with innovations and updates. The first robot I ever saw was on our trip to Japan 5 years ago. I thought to myself, I can’t wait till we have one of our own! The Roomba i7+ is our second robot and I’m really excited to share my cleaning routine with you.

Before getting the Roomba i7+, we used our broom and a handheld vacuum. I swept every other day, especially because I have two little children, a mess happening everyday is the usual. However, due to our busy work schedules it can be hard to keep up with a deep clean routine. Naturally, I noticed a schedule form based on when I was likely to have the most time for lower priority household chores. I started to leave the deeper cleaning days to Fridays or during the weekend.

What I’ve noticed now is less deeper cleans because my cleaning efforts go a longer way. Using the Roomba and Braava together allows for frequent (if needed) up-keeping.

Close up of where all the action happens. Check out the sweeper for the hard to reach areas!

Now I can schedule for a sweep and then a mop to follow behind.
A full clean with both iRobots!

iRobot Technology

I love that I can start the Roomba i7+ from anywhere via my app! Pause, send it back to the charging station and even get updates on the cleaning process.

The app creates a virtual map of your home and will even tell you where the iRobot is. iAdapt 3.0 Navigation with vSLAM technology helps the Roomba i7+ robot vacuum navigate effortlessly around your home.

There’s also a patented technology called Dirt Detect Technology where it recognizes the high traffic areas of your house and puts extra effort and focus in those places. I’ve seen the edge-sweeping brush work it’s magic and honestly it’s such a great innovation. It grabs debris from edges and hard to reach corners.

The Roomba i7+ Robot Vacuum with Clean Base™ Automatic Dirt Disposal has an AllergenLock™ bag that holds 60 days of debris and traps 99% of pollen, mold and dust mites.

All of these innovations are really awesome but the cherry on top is actually the clean base. This clean base is brilliant! The Roomba i7+ can automatically empty it’s bin so users don’t have to think about it for weeks. Also, no more clouds of dust when dispensing dirt from a regular vacuum. What vacuum are you using at home right now? Maybe it’s time for an upgrade to an iRobot Roomba. You can find the iRobot Roomba i7+ at many retailers, one of them being Amazon.ca.
