What do you do when you’ve gotten use to your massive parkas, hats, gloves and gazillion layers? All of a sudden the weather is screaming Spring, with sun and rain in the forecast, what do you wear?
FIRST
Get rid of your heavy jacket. Replace it with something light, but not too light. March/April can still be a bit chilly. Usually windy and raining. On sunny days I go for a trench coat and windy/raining days a wool coat and umbrella if needed.
SECOND
Pick accessories that welcome Spring. Pastels, fleur and happy colours and print in general.
THIRD
Pick an outfit according to your day. I went with simple black leggings and a T since I was running errands.
LAST
Your choice of foot wear should be based on the weather. If you’re in and out of a car, it doesn’t matter so much but if you’re out and about. Choose accordingly. I stuck with my combat boots knowing it would rain, which means it would get muddy. Plus, to be honest, I’m not ready to part with them yet. Loved wearing my combat boots from the beginning of Fall, through the entire winter season.
Camel, so many different tones and ways to style this classy chic colour. I think I first fell in love with this colour when I bought my first camel colour coat from H&M for $20! It was $100 regular price, so you can imagine how excited I was! I’ve had this coat for a few years now and I love wearing it. As you can see in the below images. 🙂
Pairing camel with anything leopard always looks really good! I usually wear a leopard print scarf with this coat.
Here I was going for that Kendall Jenner AMA’s look. Not 100%, but definitely 100% messy. I blame the windy day.
Don’t be shy, try combining different shades of camel. Get a little risky and even pair camel tone clothing with sneakers! Preferably all white or all black. Do you love this colour? How do you wear it?
I love Fall! It’s so weird to say Fall is here when you don’t see any tree’s with leaves changing colours. It truly feels like Fall when I see either almost bare branches or colourful trees. Sorry not sorry for those who live in climates where Fall doesn’t look like that.
WHAT I WORE: FAUX FUR & CASHMERE
Just a regular day, strolling the neighborhood I picked out some new and old clothes to create this look. This COS Cashmere toque from the lovely people at Globe Style was styled with some awesome customized pins. Definitely a different style I’ve never tried before. What do you think?
One of my favourite things we did when we went to California a few years ago was shopping! We did so much of it that to this day, I find stuff I bought back then, that I haven’t worn enough of. Like this blouse from a cute shop called Irene’s story that is only available in Cali but you can shop for their items online. I love the hardware detail on the collars. So unique!

I look forward to Fall. Wearing layers, darker colours and the not too cold, not too hot weather. A few months before a new season I start to causally seek out some season appropriate outfits that I could also mix with some of the stuff I already have. This year I didn’t find anything I could say I’m dying to wear. At first I was bummed out but now that I think about it, it’s a perfect opportunity to really look at what I already have and create some new looks.
The beauty of shopping in advance is you find a lot of stuff for much cheaper. Just like the purse I’m rocking from Zara. I bought it online during the summer. Most likely from last Fall but with a purse like this, it could never go out of style. At least no where in the near future.
I’m loving the details on this purse. So many zippers and so much room to fill it with all the things I probably won’t use in a day.
Where do you do your Fall shopping?

Wednesday evening was eventful! You may already know that, if you’re following me on snapchat (HumJK). I took the subway, which I hadn’t done in almost a year, that was nice. And I bumped into a friend, which obviously never happens when you’re driving. That was nice too. It was great hanging out with other bloggers and the Globe Style team. As bloggers we get so enthralled into our digital worlds we forget to make time for face time. No, I’m not talking about the iPhone app. I mean real, good ol face to face connecting.
We then went over to the theater for the YSL movie screening.
My thoughts on the movie, it’s definitely for an older audience to watch (too many drugs, vulgar scenes etc) but the clothes shown throughout the movie and the last collection was absolutely divine. The vibrant colours, turbans, belts, bangles… beautiful! I also learnt a few things I didn’t know about Yves Saint Laurent and some nifty tricks to use everyday. My favourite outfit? The model to the left of Yves below. (I’ve made a mental note to re-create that look, minus the turban).

I’m crushing on the oversize look. Oversized clutch, sweaters and of course the coat.
I love the fit of my yellow coat this winter and was on a hunt for something similar, but a more subdued colour. You may have seen it in my Naksan Park, South Korea post. So I did a little experiment for my day out with my sisters. Just before I left my house, I tried on my husband’s coat, rolled up the sleeves and added a clip on fur scarf I purchased from H&M last winter.
A day out shopping isn’t complete until you come back home to a cozy cuddle-fest with your sisters and some AMAZING tea. I have a tea collection from Davids tea at home, but I wanted to try something different this time. My sister Mac, suggested I try their Forever Nuts latte. De-licious! Their website describes this tea perfectly; “Deliciously nutty, decidedly addictive. Caffeine-free.”
During the weekend if you don’t have anywhere to go that calls for formal, semi-formal or even business casual then believe me, I’m going towards an outfit like this.
Easily transformed into dressed up and to walking down town Toronto streets. With a change of shoes I was ready for both in my black and white swizzle wear.
Don’t let the height of these wedges fool you. They’re really comfortable! I would suggest if you’re purchasing anything from this on-line store, purchase half a size or one size up. They’re not true to size and fit a bit snug. I’ve always found wedges to be a lot easier to walk in than skinny stilettos. It’s just a matter of finding the right design. As most wedges are not very..erm…fashionably pleasing?

Mothers Day, the weather was beautiful and the city was alive with events galore!
I had a baseball game to attend with friends from IBM and GNC later in the afternoon, so I planned to surprise her with flowers and cake first. I got to the door and just as I was adjusting my purse to knock on the door, my mom opens the door, on her way out to run some errands. I was caught off guard so I barely made it to saying..“Su su su SURPRISE!”
My mom’s reaction, shocked, “Oh wow!! How did you get here?!”
I love moments like this. When everything lines up beautifully, to bring a smile to someone’s face.
I immediately noticed her outfit and guided her back into the house, telling her she needs to get ready for her special day! Moms are always busy taking care and doing things for others that frequently they forget themselves. It’s their children, family and friends’ job to remind them to either look after themselves or to just do it for them. That’s love.
After some giggles and catch up time with my family and a moment to enjoy this perfect pre-game snack..
I made my way to the Rogers Center.
On this lovely day every women who attended the game received a pink rose, to mark Mother’s Day! They also had a section where they were giving free manicures, pedicures and more.
We had seats in the TD Comfort Clubhouse area and I enjoyed taking a break and moving to seats in the dining area for lunch. We could still see the field from our table. The lunch was great! The desserts were impeccable. They had s’mores bread pudding (insert drool)
Close to the end of the game a ball came flying towards our section, and as much as I would love to say I caught it (so cliché) it fell into our section and no one had any idea where it rolled too. So I checked under my seat and there it was! Rolled and stopped right under me. Meant to be!
After the game I made my way back to my mama’s place, spent time with our family and then was on my way, bearing gifts, to see my other mom (my mother in-law). Whom I love so much with all my heart!

I love spending time downtown. There’s never a dull moment. So much to do, so much to see.
One of my favourite places is the new pedestrian bridge, Puente de Luz. This bridge connects the CityPlace condos with a short cut to popular streets like King and Queen St. Where you can pretty much find anything.
I often shy away from wearing everything white. It’s so easy to get your whites dirty if you’re walking everywhere. Which makes it even more special when you do choose this look. There’s something risky and pristine about this style. When shopping for whites, make sure you test the clothing for transparency. Do the light and hand test. Ask to see it outside or put your hand behind the fabric. If you already own items that are too see through, don’t worry. Wear a neutral or white tank top underneath the blouse or layer some tanks like I did. I love layering! For pants, it’s best you test them out first.
Wearing everything white with pops of colour in accessories or shoes, brings more attention to them. For an example, take a canvas and splash 1 or 2 colours of paint on it. They stand out right? Add any more colour and it’s just a colourful painting. Avoid wearing white shoes and go for metallics, brights or nude. I chose pastel and soft colours to go with my white ootd (outfit of the day). During the day I like to go for more neutral or pastel colours and flats! Unless I’m going to an event or in the evening when I need to bring out the gems and metallic heels.
